Captain Kidd visited New Echota; the Cherokee nation's capitol before the trail of tears happened. It was a very interesting site, especially since this seems to be a forgotten history of the USA.

He hung out with a Cherokee man

He checked out the council house for a while.

Decided to see what the tavern had to offer

Not a bad tavern.

The Captain Kidd Twins

Last night, a package came in the mail. It was the Capt. Kidd twins! My dad used to say when asked how he was "I'm doing great! If I was doing better, I'd be twins!" Well now he is! They look different from the original but I like them. I think they're cute. They remind me of the tree spirits from the Princess Mononoke movie. A great thing about having 2 Captain Kidds is that if one becomes lost or destroyed, there will always be another to take its place.

I miss the original Captain Kidd but these two will make great substitutions. They are ready to begin their travels around the world!

Washington DC, August 4 - 6 2011 updated: Sept. 12, 2011

Captain Kidd stopped at the capitol while on his way to New York.

He started his adventure at the Lincoln Memorial

And checked out the view of the bridges in DC.

He examined the reflection of the Washington Memorial from afar. 

He hung out at the steps of the Capitol.

And rested at a hidden water fountain near by.

He was impressed with the dome of the capitol.

And of  the chamber of statues.

He was blown away by the beauty of the hall in the Library of Congress.

And by the fountain outside of the Library of Congress.

He hung out outside of the supreme court.

And inside by the spiral staircase.

 He hung out with the lone sailor.

And at the Smithsonian.

and looked at paintings in the Smithsonian.
