Updates

I have been having trouble uploading the pictures from Captain Kidd's most recent trips: South Carolina, Washington DC, and New York City. The pictures aren't uploading correctly and I am unable to fix them through the blog so I am in the process of finding an alternative way to get them on this blog. Sorry for the wait!

Also I have been trying to find new ways to make this blog help the leukemia and lymphoma society and the Multiple Myeloma Association. As of now this blog is more of a fun photo blog of the travels of a pirate captain doll but what I really hope to achieve with this blog is to help raise money and awareness for the LLS.

I have decided that for every trip I personally make with Captain Kidd I will donate $25 to the LLS. For every trip a friend takes Captain Kidd I will donate $10. I will slowly include his past travels as well.

Washington DC, August 4 - 6 2011 updated: Sept. 12, 2011

Captain Kidd stopped at the capitol while on his way to New York.

He started his adventure at the Lincoln Memorial

And checked out the view of the bridges in DC.

He examined the reflection of the Washington Memorial from afar. 

He hung out at the steps of the Capitol.

And rested at a hidden water fountain near by.

He was impressed with the dome of the capitol.

And of  the chamber of statues.

He was blown away by the beauty of the hall in the Library of Congress.

And by the fountain outside of the Library of Congress.

He hung out outside of the supreme court.

And inside by the spiral staircase.

 He hung out with the lone sailor.

And at the Smithsonian.

and looked at paintings in the Smithsonian.

South Carolina August 2 - 4 2011

Captain Kidd's road trip to New York City started in South Carolina.

He spent two days in Myrtle Beach

He went swimming in the Atlantic Ocean.

He explored the beaches.

And checked out the Pier.

He played mini-golf at a Mayan temple.

And had dinner at a crab shack.

Afterwards he explored the boardwalk during the night.

Captain Kidd stopped at South of the Border while heading to DC.

It looked abandoned but 

Captain Kidd had fun exploring the weird rest stop.
